New training information is posted on our training page. In addition to the ARRL ARES training, the Colorado and Kentucky ARES training materials are particularly good.

 

If you have completed IS-100 / IS-700 training, and submitted your course completion record (the email you receive from FEMA), thanks! If you haven't, please visit FEMA.gov and complete those courses as soon as possible.

 

Next event

 

Our next scheduled meeting will be held at 1930, Tuesday, 27 May 2008. The meeting will be at the Alternate Emergency Operations Center, located at the Fairfax County Government Center.

Talk-in will be on the 146.790 MHz 
(-600 KHz)  NVFMA repeater.

Welcome to the Fairfax County, Virginia, ARES® web site. There is also a Google™ Group for Fairfax County ARES®, along with a Google™ Calendar. The goal of this effort is to provide an integrated and convenient place to find Fairfax County ARES® information.

Amateur Radio operators interested in joining Fairfax County ARES® should visit here.

Fairfax County ARES® members are asked to ensure their membership information is current by visiting here, as well. It's a quick process, and keeps Section, District, and local leadership aware of your training and capabilities.

Fairfax County ARES® is part of ARES®District 2 (National Capital) in the ARRL Virginia Section

The Fairfax County ARES® Net may be found on the 146.790 MHz (- 0.6 MHz offset) NV4FM machine at 2015 every Wednesday.

Fairfax County ARES® meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month. The location of each meeting will be posted on this page (usually at the top) and will be announced via the email reflectors.
